"The last months was quite a blow to the fate to George Stobbart. First he had to leave Nico for one year because of an important trip to the USA, then his beloved grandfather died of a cancerous growth. But that was not everything. When George receives a telegram from France one day he already has a foreboding of evil. The consigner is - Nicole Collard, Paris, France. His presentiment shall turn into cruel certainty: Nico is dead! "First my grandpa and now Nico?", George thinks and takes the first plane to Paris."

George and Nico are back for a 5th game!! This time, it's not Revolution Software who has done the game, which means it's an unofficial (fan) game. The developer is called Mindfactory and it comes from Germany.

Broken Sword 2.5 takes place after the second game, but before the thid game. Therefore it got the title: Broken Sword 2.5. Oh, and just a small note for the fans: The game is in 2D! After a first look and a small playble demo (that includes just one scene from the game), I'm very impressed. First off, some of the screenshots looks really professional, just like Revolutions hand-drawn backgrounds for Broken Sword 1 and 2, while some are good looking, but not just as good as the ones that looks proffesional. In the whole however, this is the best looking fan-game I've ever seen. The cutscenes looks stunning; 3D movies which seems to work out great with the 2D in-game graphics.

The controls will be the same as Broken Sword 1 and 2, point 'n' click; with the exact same inventory system as the prequels. One thing I am a little sceptical about is the music. In the small demo, which you can download from brokensword25.com, it feels like the music isn't fitting in. However, the rest of the music I've heard sounds great, and got the same feeling as Broken Sword 1 had. About the voices then. Broken Sword 2.5 will actually have the same voice actor George had in the offical games in German!! But! for the English version, it's not sure there will be voices at all, rather just text

The length of the game will be long, for an unoffical fan adventure game. The Co-director of Broken Sword 2.5, Marius Gosch told us in an interview with him:
"I think there are as much locations as in Broken Sword 2."
Which hopefully means the game will be atleast as long as Broken Sword 2, which is long.

All in all, Broken Sword 2.5 will hopefully be really good! It will be a game I'm sure both Broken Sword and adventuregame fans in general will love! It could also be one of the best fan games ever made. We'll see later this year! - Lets hope for the best!
