The answer to that is: No. yes its the same point and click adventure that we all know and love but the first two are not the same. In Broken Sword you can actually pick where you want to go but in Broken Sword 2 the graphics have improved and its a straight road to the end Not thats a bad thing,many fans tend dont actually notice but here are the main differences between them...

Broken Sword:
-You can choose to speak about items in your inventory
-You can choose where you want to go next
-You can stop in a pub and drink.

Broken Sword 2:
-Graphics improved
-You cannot pick where you want to go
-This time you do not get that many thumb up/down choices

Broken Sword 3:
-Not Point and click
-Largo Winch/Escape from monkey island interface.
-Graphics Improved Greatly (from 2D to 3D).
